Introduction

St David's Hospice is a charity organisation that specialises in providing end of life care. Their mission is to provide and continue to develop a free and comprehensive palliative care service of excellence throughout Caerphilly, Monmouthshire, Newport, Torfaen and within South and Mid Powys for people, their families and carers facing a progressive life-limiting illness which is no longer curable.

Challenge

Each year St David's Hospice hold a fundraising event for local businesses which helps to raise the vital finds needed to run the organisation. As part of this event St David's play a video to the audience which highlights the work that they do as well as to emphasise the need for donations.

For their latest video St David's wanted to revisit a previous approach which followed the story of a typical hospice patient. While the video they originally had was effective, it had dated quite a bit since the time it was made. The brief was to create a reimagining of this previous video to bring it into the present day.

Solution

Using the existing video as a base we built off the content and changed a few elements to make it hard-hitting but still with a sensitive approach. Dragonfly took care of the filming and editing of the video so that it would be as professional as possible and be a creative asset for the organisation which they could use again and again.
